The theory proposes that Denna will walk into the Waystone Inn on the third day of the framing narrative and that her arrival is what reawakens Kvothe from the dulled Kote persona. The reasoning rests on her two roles in his life: she is the one person who always seems to find him no matter how far he travels, and she first set him thinking about the power of a changed name.
