Trebon-born smith's prentice Kvothe tells the truth to in the frame

Appearance§

Aaron is barely sixteen yet one of the tallest men in Newarre, with broad shoulders and thick arms befitting a blacksmith's prentice. He has the strapping, capable build of someone given to heavy physical labor, though the townsfolk still call him 'boy.'

Description§

Aaron is the blacksmith's prentice in Newarre, the village where Kvothe hides as the innkeeper Kote. Barely sixteen, he is one of the tallest men in town, broad-shouldered and thick-armed, and reckoned smarter than the townsfolk credit, though still treated as an outsider years after arriving from Trebon. He has a girlfriend named Rose. In the opening frame of The Wise Man's Fear, Kote tries to keep Aaron from joining the army by telling him he is truly Kvothe; Aaron dismisses it as a good lie and leaves to take the king's coin. Aaron names Kvothe's sword 'Kaysera, the poet killer,' a phrase Kvothe later recalls warmly. He also shrewdly recognizes the mercenary as possessed rather than a denner addict, having seen Kvothe try to burn it rather than stab it.
