Drossen Tor
“The climactic battle where Lanre defeated the enemy sealed behind the Doors of Stone”
also known as Blac of Drossen Tor
Appearance§
No depiction of the place itself survives; Drossen Tor is remembered as a battlefield of the Creation War, set against that conflict's imagery of a sky darkened with the smoke of burning towns and a land reduced from hundreds of cities to a handful. The enemy defeated there is figured as a great beast in black armor.
Description§
Drossen Tor, called the Blac of Drossen Tor, is the climactic battle of the Creation War in the age of the Ergen Empire. As told in Skarpi's story, it is where the enemy was defeated and sealed away beyond the Doors of Stone. Lanre is credited as the hero who won the day, killing a great black-armored beast before falling dead himself and being called back to life by Lyra, who also survived the battle. An enormous host fought there, said to outnumber everyone alive in the present day. The battle serves as a fixed point in legendary chronology, used to date such things as the sword Caesura, which is said to have passed through roughly thirty owners before Drossen Tor.
