The Sithe are referenced as guardians rather than depicted figures, and no detailed physical description is given. They are understood as Fae beings stationed in a perpetual blockade around the Cthaeh's tree, an unseen cordon rather than a visible host; Kvothe sees no guards there at all when he arrives.

Description§

The Sithe are a Fae faction whose oldest and most important charge is to keep the Cthaeh from having contact with anyone at all. They guard the Cthaeh's tree within the Fae realm, killing any who manage to reach the Cthaeh and seeking to destroy everything that has touched it, treating its influence as a contagion to be contained at any cost. Because they stand watch within the Fae, they are understood to be at least partly Fae themselves. Haliax names the Sithe among the enemies he shields the Chandrian from, alongside the Amyr and the Singers. When Kvothe reaches the Cthaeh, speaks with it, and survives, he sees no guards at all, and Bast is baffled as to how he slipped past them.
