Description§
Belen is one of the eight great cities of the Ergen Empire named in Skarpi's story, listed alongside Antus, Vaeret, Tinusa, Emlen, the twin cities of Murilla and Murella, and the mountaintop city Myr Tariniel. It was a walled city, populous enough that Fair Geisa is said to have had a hundred suitors there before its walls fell. Belen stood among the cities Lanre defended during the Creation War. Its name survives into the present day as the province of Belenay-Barren, where the University lies two miles west of Imre.
